About the Position

CRN is seeking an Executive Officer responsible for the organisation in realising the strategic objectives and delivery outcomes. This involves working closely with a range of stakeholders including government, community and private sectors. There is a focus on design and implementation of projects that can exploit identified structural strengths and respond to weaknesses across the sector.

Candidates must have proven skills in strategic thinking and action. They should have sound organisational management and team leadership experience. Knowledge of small non-government organisations working in the sector and a high-level understanding of the challenges facing the sector. Business development experience to drive diversification of the organisation’s activities and revenue streams would be highly regarded.

Recruitment Process

This position has a three phase recruitment process as follows:

  1. Shortlist of applications to determine success to interview stage – recruitment panel
  2. Recruitment panel interviews to shortlist final candidates
  3. Presentation to the board (on a subject to be advised at interview)

Based on the recommendation of the recruitment panel, shortlisted candidates will be invited to present to the board to whom the position reports. The board will give their preferences on each candidate in order to determine the applicant that achieves the highest recommendation between both the recruitment panel and the board. The panel will make the final recommendations, the appointment will be endorsed by the board to make an offer to the preferred candidate.
