Partnering for Change

February 25, 2015 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Free

Community Resource Network, and its partners, are aiming to build the capacity of local organisations (both large and small) to merge, or form partnerships, that will enable them to survive (and hopefully thrive) in our two LGAs.

The Partnering for Change project aims to build the capacity of our local human services / community sector to respond positively to the ever-changing funding and policy environment.

We invite organisational leaders and decision-makers to attend an initial conversation to explore the challenges, complexities and paradoxes of partnering; and, to help us identify key themes and skills to explore during a series of workshops to be held in the following three months.

What is it like in the of Blacktown/Hills community sector?

  • What’s changed in the past few years? For you, your organisation and the sector?
  • What do you think the next few years will hold? For you, your organisation and the sector?

What is your response to calls from within and outside of the sector for community organisations to:

  • work more in partnership,
  • look at merges,
  • forming consortia,
  • be more business-like, and
  • to be more strategic?

What are some of the paradoxes, complexities and/or challenges that emerge from these discussions?

What skills do you need to learn or develop further to meet these challenges?
