Blacktown Combined Interagency (BCI)

The Blacktown Combined Interagency (BCI) is a monthly meeting coordinated by Community Resource Network (CRN).
The presentation will include:
- the findings from community engagement with over 2100 people who live in the city and research on key community indicators (data); and
- analysis identifying key priorities for the city.
The Blacktown City Social Profile 2016 outlines the major social issues facing Blacktown City and will inform the Council’s community strategic planning. It explores the key priority areas being the social gradient, stress, early life, social exclusion, work, unemployment, social support, addiction, food, transport and service development.
We will also hear from Family Worker Training + Development Programme about the Communities for Children (C4C) Aboriginal Cross-Cultural Competence Capacity Building Project in Mt Druitt.
