2018 ZEST Awards Highlights

On Friday 16th February 2018, over 500 people gathered at ANZ Stadium to celebrate and honour some of the outstanding work in Greater Western Sydney (GWS) communities at the 2018 ZEST Awards.
The ZEST Awards are the annual celebration of innovation and creativity in the Community Sector, promoting a positive image of the region through highlighting our assets, our diversity and our creative and innovative work.
The event was hosted by Tom Nance (ZEST Awards Creative Director from Western Sydney Community Forum) and Chris Bath (Presenter and Journalist).
The evening began with a “Welcome to Country” from Uncle Greg Simms, followed by a dynamic performance from The Lucky African Dancers. Awards were given out in 15 categories, along with speeches from ZEST Awards Patron, The Honourable Gladys Berejiklian MP (Premier of NSW), Peter Shergold (Chancellor – Western Sydney University), Luke Foley MP (Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Minister for Western Sydney), and a performance from Zaffet Lebnen Entertainment.
