2016 ZEST Awards Highlights

2016 ZEST Awards Ceremony

On Wednesday 24th February 2016, over 600 people gathered at ANZ Stadium to celebrate and honour some of the outstanding work in Greater Western Sydney (GWS) communities at the 2016 ZEST Awards.

The ZEST Awards are the annual celebration of innovation and creativity in the Community Sector, promoting a positive image of the region through highlighting our assets, our diversity and our creative and innovative work.

The event was hosted by Tom Nance (ZEST Awards Creative Director – Western Sydney Community Forum) and the evening kicked off with a “Welcome to Country” from Uncle Greg Simms.

15 Awards were handed out during the ceremony which included dynamic performances from Natraj Dance (pictured) and the Australian – Chinese Youth Sports Federation. A personal message from the ZEST Awards Patron, Mike Baird (Premier of NSW) was read out and speeches were given by Peter Shergold (Chancellor – Western Sydney University) and Robin Shreeve (Institute Director – TAFE Western Sydney Institute).
