2015 ZEST Awards Highlights

2015 ZEST Awards

Last night over 600 people gathered at ANZ Stadium to celebrate and honour some of the outstanding work in Greater Western Sydney (GWS) communities at the 2015 ZEST Awards.

The ZEST Awards are the annual celebration of innovation and creativity in the Community Sector, promoting a positive image of the region through highlighting our assets, our diversity and our creative and innovative work.

The event was hosted by an exuberant Tom Nance from Western Sydney Community Forum (WSCF) and the evening began with a “Welcome to Country” from Uncle Greg Simms. Apart from the Awards being announced, the night included dynamic performances from Team 9 Lives and Matavai Cultural Arts Centre, as well as speeches from Pam Batkin (Chairperson – WSCF), Mike Baird (Premier of NSW), Peter Shergold (Chancellor – University of Western Sydney) and Mary Waterford (Executive Officer – WSCF).
